Bedfordshire Police are actively searching for a 45-year-old man after a mother and her two young daughters were discovered dead at their home near Bedford on Monday. The deceased have been identified as Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, 42, and her daughters Natalie, 15, and Nala, five.
Officers forced entry into the family’s house in Great Denham after reports indicated they had not been seen for several days. Following the discovery, a significant police presence was established at the residence.
Police are seeking Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, also known as Mark, who is believed to have left the UK via Heathrow Airport on a British passport last Saturday. Bedfordshire Police has urged him to surrender himself and is collaborating with both national and international agencies in the search.
A family tribute released on Thursday said: “During this time of unimaginable loss, we wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has reached out with prayers, messages of comfort, and support.” The family added that “Your kindness and compassion have brought great strength to our family.”
The family also noted that the circumstances surrounding the deaths are currently the subject of an official investigation, preventing them from commenting further at this stage. They are awaiting guidance from relevant authorities before confirming funeral and memorial arrangements, promising an official update once more information becomes available.
