The Iranian army has announced that it launched kamikaze drone strikes against US forces stationed at the Isa Air Base in Bahrain. According to a statement broadcast on state television, the operation targeted fuel tanks, large equipment warehouses, silos, and barracks belonging to the US military. While reports of an explosion and warning sirens surfaced in Bahrain on Friday, the US has not confirmed that any of its facilities or personnel were targeted. Bahraini authorities later reported that they intercepted several aerial aggressions, accusing Tehran of deliberately targeting civilian areas.
In a separate claim, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards stated they had targeted an Amazon data center located in Bahrain, though neither the tech company nor the Bahraini government has provided comment on the assertion. The Revolutionary Guards also claimed to have struck a US Fifth Fleet watchtower in the country.
The Iranian military also reported drone attacks against Jordan, specifically targeting aircraft hangars, aviation maintenance facilities, and a barracks at the Al-Azraq base. Jordan’s military confirmed that it intercepted seven missiles and six drones on Friday, stating that the operation resulted in no casualties or material damage. Further claims from the Iranian army included the use of drones against US equipment warehouses at Camp Udairi in Kuwait, as well as American personnel stationed at Camp Doha and Camp Arifjan.
The Revolutionary Guards additionally asserted that they had destroyed an ammunition depot at the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, claiming the strike caused casualties among US personnel. They also stated that equipment storage silos at Camp Udairi were hit. Ali Abdollahi, the head of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya central military command, issued a warning to US personnel in the region on Friday, stating that Iran had prepared one-way tickets to hell for them and that for every Iranian citizen martyred, one American service member would be sent to hell.
