The 1975 frontman Matty Healy and model Gabbriette Bechtel have officially tied the knot. The couple exchanged vows this past Saturday during a private ceremony held in Los Angeles, which was attended by their family and close friends.

According to reports from several US media outlets, the wedding took place at Madonna's former estate located in the Hollywood Hills. Among the guests in attendance was singer Charli XCX. Representatives for the couple confirmed the news of the ceremony in an official statement.

The couple had been dating for nine months before announcing their engagement in 2024. In June of that year, Bechtel shared an image on Instagram of herself wearing a large black diamond ring, captioning the post with, "Marrying The 1975 is very brat." Healy’s mother, television personality Denise Welch, later confirmed the engagement during a podcast appearance.

Leading up to the wedding, both parties held pre-nuptial celebrations. Videos circulated online showing Healy performing with The 9075, a tribute band to his own group, during what was reportedly his stag-do. Meanwhile, Bechtel documented her Las Vegas hen-do on social media, featuring photos of herself being handcuffed by a man dressed as a police officer, posing with burlesque star Dita Von Teese, and dancing alongside an Elvis impersonator. The images also included scenes of fake 100 dollar bills scattered on the floor.

Bechtel, 28, and Healy, 37, were first linked romantically months after Healy’s brief relationship with Taylor Swift ended in 2023. That previous relationship was reportedly a source of inspiration for tracks on Swift’s album, The Tortured Poets Department. Bechtel is a musician in her own right, known as the lead vocalist and songwriter for the punk rock band Nasty Cherry, which was formed by Charli XCX. Notably, her bandmate George Daniel is the drummer for The 1975.

The 1975 are known for their songs Chocolate, Somebody Else, and Girls and have had five UK number one albums including their 2013 self-titled debut, 2020's Notes On A Conditional Form and their most recent album, Being Funny In A Foreign Language, which was released in 2022.

They also headlined Glastonbury last year. The band have since gone on an "indefinite hiatus" from performing live shows.
