Rob Gronkowski is sharing his impressions of the recent wedding between NFL star Travis Kelce and music icon Taylor Swift. The four-time Super Bowl champion discussed his experience attending the couple’s New York City celebration during the seventh episode of the Tubi series “The Other Football,” which premiered on July 8.
Reflecting on the logistics of the event, Gronkowski described the massive scale of the gathering at Madison Square Garden on July 3. He told co-host Jameis Winston that he encountered five blocks of black cars lined up as he arrived at the venue. While waiting to be dropped off, Gronkowski kept himself occupied by watching the Argentina vs. Cape Verde World Cup match, noting that the excitement of the game helped him prepare for the intensity of the wedding festivities.
The former tight end praised the event, calling it “top-notch” and noting that the dance floor was particularly energetic. Despite facing Kelce in his final Super Bowl appearance in 2021, where his Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9, Gronkowski maintained that he and Kelce have remained on good terms.
The wedding, which took place during a heatwave, was officiated by Adam Sandler. The bridal party was limited to the couple’s brothers, Jason Kelce and Austin Swift, with both the bride and groom wearing Christian Dior Haute Couture. While official photos remain unreleased, the guest list included notable figures from the couple’s professional and personal circles, such as Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid, Jack Antonoff, Ed Sheeran, and Zoë Kravitz.
Gronkowski also touched on how attending such a high-profile ceremony affected his personal life with his partner of over a decade, Camille Kostek. He admitted that the event brought up questions about his own wedding plans, noting that being at a ceremony “encourages everyone to ask you when you’re doing it right in front of your significant other.”
